Dr. William L. Barnard, Jr. is a highly skilled board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is proud to have served children and adults for over 30 years in the treatment of a wide variety of conditions associated with bone health and the skeletal system. He offers individualized non-surgical orthopaedic care, as well as state-of-the-art surgical techniques.
Dr. Barnard has a special interest in joint replacement surgery and has advanced subspecialty training in shoulder, knee and hip replacement. When it becomes time for you to have a joint replaced, he provides personalized attention before, during, and after your surgery to ensure the optimal outcome. In addition, he works closely with the physical and occupational therapists at Parkland Rehabilitation Services to assure a seamless continuation of your care.
Dr. Barnard has extensive experience in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of work, sports, and exercise related injuries. He creates a plan of care designed to return you to normal activity as soon as possible. Many common injuries such as muscle strains and tears may be treated with medications and/or physical therapy. If, however, your condition requires surgical intervention, Dr. Barnard is trained in the latest minimally invasive procedures to insure a faster recovery with less pain.
